Priyanka Chopra in Mahesh Babu’s ‘Veerudu’

Buzz is that B-town’s diva Priyanka Chopra is being considered for the genius Indian helmer Mani Ratnam’s 200 crore budget mega blockbuster ‘Veerudu’, starring Mahesh Babu, Aarya, Vijay along with Anushka Shetty.

The beauty is said to be leaving to south to meet the master director Mani to hear the script very soon. The movie is in pre production stage and it’s a period saga set in 1500 BC. Stars like Surya and Vikram are also considered for important roles for the film.

If all goes well Priyanka will be paired opposite Mahesh Babu in the film.

Priyanka is very much excited to be working under India’s highly acclaimed director Mani Ratnam, however, for now the actress is tight lipped. But we tell you that she is visiting Mani Ratnam to hear the script in totality in a few days from now.

Actress Sujatha passes away

The eminent actress of south Sujatha has left for heavenly abode.

Sujatha, aged 58, reported to have passed away today. According to sources, the veteran actress was not keeping good health for some time and succumbed to her disease.

Sujatha became a prominent face after working in different languages namely Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and also Hindi. She has shared the screens with biggies like Sivaji Ganesan and Rajinikanth.

Sujatha is well-remembered for her performances in ‘Annaikili’, ‘Avargal’, ‘Vidhi’, ‘Andhaman Kadali’ among others.

Varma calls for L publicity

Every time a movie from Ramgopal Varma is released, enormous media attention and public interest are easily diverted towards it with various kinds of publicity stunts. Maverick director is specialized in this department and many of his movies cross the break even easily with such techniques.

Off late the trend is changed and people are reacting furiously on ‘Appalraju’ that has become major subject in the market before its release. None of the audiences are satisfied with this flick from Varma. The imbalance between publicity and actual output was clearly visible. Cine folks say that, Ramu is moving the pawns carefully with a perfect plan for upcoming ‘dongala muta.’

By keeping the hype and publicity at lowest level, Varma is not entertaining any expectations to build on this experimental film. It is time that will decide, how strong Varma dealt this five days ‘dongala muta?’ For now, he succeeded in controlling the anticipation from public.

Dil Raju’s Tension Touching ‘Sky’

He was once the man with the golden hand and right now, he seems to be a man whose gold might have to be taken out. He is none other than Dil Raju, the man who created a sensation with a streak of super duper hit movies. But right now, his graphs have fallen down and that too big time.

However, the iron willed Dil Raju has not given up and right now, he has got a line up of projects. But then, sources close to him reveal that his tension is hitting the roof. Ironically, his next venture happens to be ‘Gaganam’ starring Nagarjuna and Prakashraj and many are quipping that Dil Raju’s tension is also touching the ‘sky’.

The film is also being released in Tamil and it is directed by Radha Mohan of ‘Akasamantha’ fame. Sources say that this is more of a thriller but entertainment quotient is also high. Only time will tell whether the outcome of this movie will touch the ‘sky’ even at the box office or not.

Complaint On ‘Khaleja’ In Film Chamber

Mahesh Babu Fans are making merry for the title ‘Khaleja’ that was announced recently. The logo is also in circulation and discussion in big way. But now S Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy of Nitya Sree productions is going ahead with a complaint to Film Chamber stating that they have registered the title earlier and still the rights for the title are with them. He also stated that one Mr Subba Reddy is starting to direct a movie with the title ‘Khaleja’ on his banner. He clarified that Nitya Sree Productions didn’t sell the title for anyone so far. We have to see if the terms get cleared between Nitya Sree Productions and Trivikram Sreenivas or we may have to see a new title for Mahesh Babu!!

All are much aware that Sunil’s upcoming latest film ‘Maryada Ramanna’ directed by successful filmmaker Rajamouli is slated for its release on 23^rd of this month. Recently the audio of the film having 5 songs has hits the music stand and is going great in the market. At present, the film shooting has been finished and the post production works are going on at fast pace. Latently it is known that music director Keeravani who is keenly working on background music has tuned two more bit songs and added to the audio much before the release of the film. So, it is interesting to see a complete audio video visual feast in Rajamouli’s style very soon.

Mahesh’s ‘Khaleja’ shooting in Shamshabad airport

Prince Mahesh Babu’s latest flick which is tentatively titled as ‘Khaleja’ is currently undergoing its shooting in Shamshabad airport and surrounding areas in Hyderabad. The entire team will be shooting in Shamshabad airport till afternoon and then would be shifting to Chatrapati house in Jubilee Hills for finishing the rest of the day shooting. The shooting will be progressing in and around locations of Hyderabad even on tomorrow.

Anushka is playing the female lead opposite Mahesh in the film. Singamala Ramesh is producing this film under the banner Kanakarathna movies. Mani Sharma is composing the music for the film. Apart from direction, Trivikram Srinivas is handling the story, dialogues and screenplay for the film.

‘Badrinath’ on Manali sets from July 26th!

Already it was reported that Allu Arjun’s new film ‘Badrinath’ which is being directed by VV Vinayak and being produced by Allu Aravind under ‘Geeta Arts’ banner will start its regular shooting from July 15^th onwards. Now, we have latest update about the film is that the film will go on to the sets of Manali from July 26^th and will start its schedule that will be continued for two months. It is said to be an out and out mass oriented periodic high budgeted film. Recently, Allu Arjun has learned Martial arts in Vietnam for the film.

The white beauty, Tamannah will be playing the Arjun’s lady love in the film. Ravi Varman who has earlier done his work for films like ‘Aparichitudu’ and ‘Dasavataram’ will handle the cinematography. Kamal Kannan who handled the visual effects for ‘Magadheera’ will be handling for Badrinarth too. MM Keeravani is scoring the music. Vinayak and Keeravani are working for the first time.
